He is now vice chairman of The First Committee of Borehole Geophysics Professional Committee of Chinese Geophysical Society and standing dir-ector of Geophysical Society of Jilin province. Up to now, he has published more than 60 papers indexed by SCI and EI in academic journals at home and abroad. He has presided over more than 20 projects including National Natural Science Foundation of China, CAS Pilot Special Project, National Key Research and Development Program, "863" Project and Horizontal Research Project. The software developed for comprehensive processing and inversion of 3D induction data, inversion of dual lateral and dual induction logging data, and high-resolution processing of logging data in thin interactive layers have been widely applied in Daqing, Changqing and Xinjiang oilfields.

Research focus

Prof. Wang’s research directions include EM field theory, computational Electromagnetics, inverse scattering theory and inversion imaging method. He has been devoted to solve problems about high efficiency and high precise numerical simulation, parameter and pixel inversion explicit sensitivity accurate algorithm and inversion imaging technology in the borehole EM detection, controlled source EM measurement, Marine electromagnetics and airborne transient EM data.
